’Kayode Omotoso is the Pioneer Executive Secretary/CEO of Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN). He holds an OND Certificate in Forest Assistant Studies, obtained from the Federal School of Forestry, (now Federal College of Forest Resources Management), Ibadan, B.Sc. (Hons) Agricultural Economics of the University of Ibadan and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.
In the City of Ibadan, in 1972, he began his work experience in Oyo State with Ibadan/Ibarapa Local Schools’ Board, and later with the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, before he moved to Lagos.
His post qualification working experience commenced from the former National Bank of Nigeria Limited(now Wema Bank Plc), where he horned his skills through his exposure in Agricultural/Commercial Credits, Project Finance and Syndication/Consortia Lendings.
‘Kayode is an eclectic man having garnered a wide working experience and exposure in the Educational, Agricultural and then the Financial Sectors of the Nigerian economy in different Scopes and Capacities. His sojourn in the Financial Sector of the economy which commenced from National Bank resulted into his appointment with Resort Savings and Loans Limited as the Pioneer General Manager and consequently an Executive Director covering areas such as Banking Operations, Treasury Management, Accounts/Finance/Systems as well as Human Resources Department.
In July 2003, he assumed the exalted position of the Pioneer Executive Secretary/CEO of Mortgage Banking Association of Nigeria (MBAN) to contribute his humble quota to the growth, development and smooth-functioning of a well-structured Mortgage Banking/ Housing Finance Sector in Nigeria.
